Louis Dodd is a composer and multi-instrumentalist known for his genre-bending, character-led scores for premium documentary and narrative projects.

His blends contemporary instrumentation, textural detail and modern cinematic language - creating music that enhances story and brings clarity, tension and emotional depth to the screen.

Louis has composed music for over 100 hours of television across the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sky, PBS, Disney+/Hulu and Netflix, including multiple BAFTA and Emmy-recognised productions. His recent credits include The Sycamore Gap Mystery (Channel 4), British Blood Scandal (ITV), Strike on Iran: A Nuclear Question (PBS), Devil in the Family: The Fall of Ruby Franke (Disney/Hulu), and the long-running BBC series Amazing Hotels and Surgeons: At the Edge of Life.

A highly collaborative composer, Louis is known for working closely with directors and editors to shape scores that feel integral to the storytelling process. Whether writing for intimate ensembles, hybrid textures or larger cinematic palettes, he approaches each project from the perspective of narrative first - creating music that feels considered, distinctive and deeply connected to the material on screen.
